I designed and art directed a Valentine’s Day editorial magazine layout inspired by a vintage Las Vegas aesthetic, blending romance with playful storytelling. The concept uses a deck-of-cards motif, where each card represents a distinct character and personality tied to each outfit—creating a cohesive narrative across the spread.
Curated and styled by Kimberly Patron, photographed by Sophia Ringo, and featuring model Kasandra Patron, the project combines bold typography, editorial layouts, and vintage-inspired design elements to evoke a timeless yet modern feel.

BACKYARD GROOVE
Backyard Groove is a 70s-inspired editorial magazine design that blends nostalgic visuals with contemporary layout techniques, featuring stylized advertisements and expressive typography. The project draws heavily from period research to authentically capture the tone, color, and cultural energy of the era, resulting in a cohesive and immersive editorial experience.
Curated and co-directed by Kimberly Patron, this shoot reflects our collaborative process as artist-entrepreneurs in the Inland Empire, documented as part of a feature for California Baptist University's magazine by Gabrielle Riggin.
